Impasto strokes in deep blue and gray tones form the fleeting surroundings in the background Artem ChebokhaSurreal works. The Saint Petersburg-based artist, who uses the nickname RHADS, mimics the texture of oil paint in his digital pieces. In heavy clouds and pockets of lightning, elements of unusual proportions such as tiny airplanes or an oversized squid create otherworldly atmospheres that are filled with unpredictable weather and open spaces.

Prints of Chebokha’s dreamy paintings are available on Society6. Go to Instagram to see a larger collection of his pieces, including a 3D image and keep an eye out for his upcoming project combining art and music. (over Cross Connect Magazine)
