A wavy kinetic work of art by Scale Collective combines organic movement and architectural forms in a fascinating installation. Created for the Constellation festival in Metz, France “flow“Consists of 48 light beams that extend over a length of 1.5 meters and are 40 centimeters apart. Each is connected to a single mechanism that is motorized and controlled by the viewer via an interface and enables synchronized performance of twisting and winding patterns. “The formal multiplication of these lines combined with micro-variations of phases, time delays, speeds and amplitudes enables us to shape an object 20 meters long that is alive and evolves with a cyclical back and forth movement, ”says the French collective. Further dynamic projects of the group can be found at his website, Vimeo, and Instagram. (above Core 77)
