The team at WATG envisions some of the most iconic corridors in metropolitan areas, which the global design bureau aptly calls “Guerrilla greening. ”Through a series of GIFs, streets in London, New York City, and Honolulu transform into lush, garden-like enclaves full of trees, new landscaping, and dense vegetation that surrounds the existing architecture. WAFT put years of research into the short animations that visualize practical and workable adjustments that would improve air quality, encourage bicycle and pedestrian traffic, and make places traditionally built of concrete and brick more ecologically diverse.
