The oversized animal menagerie of Florentijn Hofman that includes a fox, Octopus, and lying hare now has a new member. The Dutch artist recently completed a 15-meter-tall squirrel that was caught while peeking into a botanical garden in Chongqing, China. Covered with 16,500 metal disks and supported by its extraordinarily bushy tail, the cheerful creature waves to the visitors in the house and even flashes a peace sign with its paw.

“Shiny Squirrel” was commissioned by Hong Kong Country Chongqing and produces with Art depot. Look at Hofmans Instagram to see photos of the playful installation.
