The CFL Board approves the plan to play 14 games for the season

The CFL starts its 2021 season.

The league’s board of governors unanimously voted for a revised collective agreement and the start of the season on August 5th.

The CFL did not play in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The league revealed plans for a full 18-game season in November, starting in June. The launch was later postponed to August and the number of games reduced to 14.

The title game, the Gray Cup, has also been postponed by three weeks to December 12th.
