photographer Mitch Dobrowner (before) captures some of nature’s most dramatic and overwhelming displays of strength in its black and white images of storm cells. Dobrowner lives between Los Angeles and Lone Pine, California, and often travels the Midwest and Southwest documenting key systems raging in rural areas. He frames lightning strikes, huge cloud spirals and heavy rain showers with wide-angle or panorama shots in order to contrast the extreme weather with the vast, remote landscapes. Dobrowner will be visiting the Northern Plains for the next few weeks to see the area’s storm season for you to watch Instagram.
