That Los Angeles Dodgers enter into a deal to acquire Star Right-Handed Max Scherzer and star shortstop Treasure turner of the Washington Nationals for massive potential prey, sources said Jeff Passan of ESPN on Thursday.
The Dodgers are currently sending four prospects to the Nationals, a source confirmed Passan: right-handed pitcher Josiah Gray, catcher Keibert Ruiz, right-handed pitcher Gerardo Carrillo and outfielder Donovan Casey.

Gray was ranked 36th among the Top 100 prospects in MLB into the season, says McDaniel. Ruiz was placed in 74th place.
Scherzer is 8-4 with 2.76 ERA in 19 starts this season. The three-time Cy Young Award winner is slated to become a free agent after 2021.
Scherzer had the right to block any trade on the basis of his 10-and-5 rights (10 years of service in the major league and five years with the same team) but was reportedly open to a move to the West Coast and has been allowed to join signed the Dodgers.
The final year of his seven-year $ 210 million contract owed him $ 35 million, but the last three years of that deal are being deferred from 2022 to 2018.
